The film traces real events in 1871 to the Harbat tribe of Upper Egypt, which was famous for excavating and then selling Pharaonic antiquities. It was directed and designed by the Alexandrian artist Shadi Abdel Salam (15 March 1930 – 8 October 1986).
The film is in Arabic with English subtitles.
