The BA Welcomes the President of the UAE Board on Books for Young People

The BA Children and Young People's Libraries welcomed Dr. Marwa Al-Aqroubi, President of the UAE Board on Books for Young People, accompanied by Dr. Nadia El-Khouly, President of the Egyptian Board on Books for Children; and Dr. Iman Mohamed, Executive Director of the UAE Board on Books for Young People.

The delegation was greeted by Ms. Dina Youssef, Head of the BA Library Sector. Their discussion included the various aspects of cooperation between the BA and the UAE Board on Books for Young People, highlighting all possible means to provide a healthy environment for children and young people by encouraging reading and developing their talents and skills.

On the sidelines of the official visit, the Children's Library organized a storytelling workshop presented by Mr. Haitham Shoukry.

The Young People’s Library also organized a lecture presented by the writer Dr. Mona Lamloum and entitled "How do Stories Address Psychological Challenges?" Dr. Lamloum highlighted the increased challenges facing today’s young people as they cope with high levels of pressure and competition.

At the end of the official visit, the UAE Board on Books for Young People presented the winning books of the 2024 Telecom Award as a gift to the BA.
