The BA Hosts UMAR Celebration and Conference

The BA Alexandria and Mediterranean Research Center (Alex Med) is hosting a celebration marking the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Union of Mediterranean Architects (UMAR), on Tuesday, 30 April 2024, in the Auditorium Hall (BA Main Entrance), in the presence of representatives of the Union’s architectural bodies from different Mediterranean countries.
The celebration will honor the founders of the Union in the presence of Eng. Tarek El-Nabrawy, President of the Egyptian Engineers Syndicate; Eng. Seif Abul-Naga, President of the Society of Egyptian Architects; and Eng. Amir Turki, President of the Union of Mediterranean Architects.
The BA also hosted the General Assembly’s board meeting on 28 and 29 April. The Library's sponsorship of the event is a great opportunity to promote dialogue and cooperation between architects in the Mediterranean and to support the establishment of networks and channels for the exchange of experiences and solutions in the region.
