Reopening the BA Children and Young People’s Libraries

The Children and Young People’s Libraries, affiliated to the BA Library Sector, announce their reopening starting Sunday, 1 November 2020. The Libraries will open from Sunday to Thursday, from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm.
Considering the current exceptional circumstances, all precautionary measures will be applied in order to ensure the safety of the users and staff:
	- 
	Receiving a limited number of children and young people daily. 
- 
	Wearing face masks inside the BA is mandatory. 
- 
	Using hand sanitizers before touching any surfaces. 
- 
	Bringing alcohol sprays or hand sanitizers with all children and young people is necessary. 
- 
	Eating or drinking (except water) inside the two libraries is prohibited. 
- 
	Keeping a safe distance between the users and staff. 
- 
	Sitting in allocated places at the reading tables. Moving chairs is not allowed. 
- 
	Putting books on trolleys to be sterilized after reading. 
The day will be divided into 2 periods:
First period: from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm.
Second period: from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm.
A sterilization process will take place from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.

	Only limited number of members with valid membership cards will be allowed into the Children and Young People’s Libraries. 
- 
	Children and young people are only allowed to use the computers for no more than half an hour. 
- 
	Borrowing books is not allowed. 
- 
	Canceling tours inside the two libraries until further notice. 
- 
	Canceling school trips until further notice. 
- 
	Parents are not allowed inside the libraries. 
- 
	University researchers are not allowed inside the libraries. 
- 
	The BA is not responsible for visitors' personal belongings. 
- 
	The Children’s Library is not responsible for children after the end of the two periods.
