The Fourth Edition of the Series “Quantum Computing and AI”

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina, in cooperation with iQafé, continues to present its monthly series of events "Quantum Computing and AI", as the fourth edition of the series will be launched on Thursday, 29 May 2025, through Google Meet, with the participation of a distinguished group of experts and researchers in the fields of quantum computing and artificial intelligence from around the world.

The event will open with an introductory session by Eng. Youssef El-Dakar, Head of the BA International School for Information Science (ISIS), and Dr. Taha Selim, General Director of MolKet SAS and Founder of iQafé. The session will address the upcoming summer activities, mainly the ongoing preparations for the launch of the “Alexandria Quantum Computing Hackathon”, which is the first of its kind in Egypt and the region.

The program includes a series of interactive lectures presented by prestigious experts, tackling advanced topics such as quantum machine learning for big data, leading quantum computing and its connection to various disciplines, energy limit in quantum computing, and the applications of quantum artificial intelligence in the real world. The lectures will also discuss the goals of QEgypt in building the quantum future and introducing participants to the IBM quantum-computing platform.

  • Dr. Hany Ali, Quantum Physicist and Senior Quantum Engineer.
  • Mr. Jan Blomaart, BioDAC Managing Partner.
  • Mr. Alain Chancé, MolKet President.

The session will conclude with an open discussion that will allow participants to ask questions and discuss the latest trends in quantum artificial intelligence and the future applications of these technologies.
