The BA Receives a High-Level Delegation from the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS)

Dr. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, received on Monday, 19 May, Mr. Antoine Petit, Head of the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS), who is on an official visit to the Library, accompanied by a high-level delegation from the Center. The visit witnessed the participation of a number of BA officials, along with H.E. Mr. Eric Chevallier, Ambassador of France to Egypt, and Ms. Lina Blin, Consul General of France in Alexandria.

Dr. Zayed expressed his delight at this visit, noting the importance of strengthening scientific and cultural cooperation between the two institutions. He accompanied the delegation on an extensive tour of the Library, which included the exhibitions, museums, and digital lab, in addition to the virtual Culturama shows that reflect the richness and diversity of the Library's knowledge content.

Mr. Petit and the accompanying delegation praised the beauty of the unique architectural design of the BA and its cultural and scientific significance, stressing that the BA represents a pioneering model of an integrated knowledge institution, which transcends the traditional concept of a library to become a vibrant center for science and culture.

This visit represents an important step in the joint cooperation between the Bibliotheca Alexandrina and French scientific and cultural institutions, which contributes to the promotion of dialogue and the exchange of experiences in the fields of research and innovation.
