The Bibliotheca Alexandrina has received a delegation of the Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership in its fifth edition, which is held under the patronage of H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and in partnership with the United Nations. Organized by the Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports, this year’s fellowship is entitled "Egypt and the United Nations: 80 Years of Global South Representation". The delegation was received by Dr. Marwa El-Wakil, Head of the BA Academic Research Sector, on behalf of Dr. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the BA.

The delegation included more than 150 young men and women from different countries around the world.

It is worth noting that the fifth edition of the Nasser Fellowship aims to transfer the Egyptian experience with regard to consolidating and building national institutions, as well as promoting youth dialogue at an international level. It also sheds light on the role of youth and women in relation to issues of peace, security, and volunteer work, together with the role of the United Nations in supporting southern causes and promoting international justice.
