Head of the Supreme Constitutional Court in a Visit to the BA

Dr. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, has welcomed H.E. Justice Boulos Fahmy Iskandar, Head of Egypt’s Supreme Constitutional Court, and a high-level delegation of counselors and members of the Court’s General Assembly, on their visit to the Library.

At the beginning of his visit, the Head of the Supreme Constitutional Court and the accompanying delegation held a meeting with Dr. Ahmed Zayed and the heads of the Library’s different departments.

Dr. Zayed welcomed the guests, describing the visit as historic due to the high status of the Supreme Constitutional Court.

The delegation toured the BA and listened to a detailed explanation of the history of the Library, the idea of its revival, and its distinctive architectural design.

Dr. Zayed presented Mr. Iskandar with the shield of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina and the book The Photographic Memory of Alexandria, and in turn, Mr. Iskandar presented Dr. Zayed with the shield of the Supreme Constitutional Court, and the statue of Maat, the ancient Egyptian goddess of truth and justice.
