itle in English: Cultural Interaction Between Ancient Egypt and Greece (HS112) Teaching Professor: Dr. Omnia Shaarawi Course Description: Cultural Interaction between Ancient Egypt and Greece This course is a study of the ancient cultural relation between Egypt and Greece, starting from the pre-dynastic period in Egypt up to the period of the modern state. The course will also highlight the important landmarks in both civilizations, such as the 26th dynasty in Egypt, and the classical period in Greece (6th and 5th centuries BC). The course will deal with the Persian conquest of Egypt and the aid that Greece gave to Egypt. Finally, the course will reveal the interaction between Egypt and Greece in Egypt, after many Greeks settled in Egypt after the conquest of Alexander the Great, throughout the Ptolemaic and Roman periods.
